As our ping pong table in the buildings continue to double as a work desk for some during office hours, we carried out plans for an inter-building ping pong tournament. In a stunning display of skill and strength, we crowned Weave on Boundary as the first champion of the Weave Inter-building Ping Pong Tournament for their 2-1 victory over Weave on Baker. We look forward to the next tournament when Weave on Anchor joins the fray.
We can all use some extra love at the moment so we were happy to welcome Merlin as the newest member of our community. Our community has been angling to get a fur baby in for the longest time, so everyone has been quite excited to welcome him when a fellow resident brought him home. He’s been a good boy patiently waiting for his fur daddy to finish work every day and everyone is giving him lots of love.
Before the heat of Hong Kong summer settles in and all you want to do it order takeout so you can stay inside, we asked our residents what their favourite place for food was around their neighbourhood. Based on their suggestions, we put together a list of restaurants in Prince Edward ranging from popular neighbourhood spots like Fong Waa Parlour to hole in the wall cake shop Ah Ma Handbaked Cakes. Check out the blog post to see what made the list and we’ll be revealing the top picks for the Hung Hom area soon!
Another piece of good news this month was that we could celebrate the birthdays of our residents in person again. Being able to celebrate with friends sure beats blowing out virtual candles.
Here’s hoping that things continue to get better for the rest of 2020 and we look forward to what’s to come.
