The wait is over! Weave on Baker officially opened on 1 November 2019 and we welcomed our first community of residents at our exciting second location in Hong Kong.
It’s been a little bit over a year since we opened our doors at Weave on Boundary as pioneers of collaborative living in this bustling city. Even though the support for Weave Co-Living has been amazing, we took time to open our second location because we wanted to make sure we got it right. After careful thought we landed on Weave on Baker in the heart of Hung Hom.
Weave on Baker is in an area that is very happening and undergoing a revitalization – Ho Man Tin Station which opened in 2016 breathing new life into a quintessential old Hong Kong neighbourhood; nearby Whampoa is one of the largest residential developments in the city with tons of options for food, shopping and entertainment, including the iconic cruise ship shaped mall; Hung Hom is one of the main transport hubs in Kowloon connecting everything from Central on the island to Shenzhen in Mainland China. Weave on Baker sits conveniently at the centre of this action, a short stroll by foot.
With experience from Weave on Boundary under our belt, we’ve kept our living areas in Weave on Baker bright and spacious, at the same time adding more shared space with dedicated uses – a large, flexible reading room, dining area, outdoor terrace with seating and bbq and two rooftops with stunning views of Victoria Harbour, as well as staples like pantries, a fully-equipped kitchen, gym and laundry room.
To bring artistic flair to our space, we continued to work with local talent, this time with HK-born SCAD alumni Blessy Man & Henry Lau, to curate the beautiful “Lion Rock at Dawn”. We also created some very Instagram friendly corners all over our shared spaces, just waiting to be discovered 😉
We want to thank our community of residents and partners that have been with us on this journey. We wouldn’t be where we are without all of your support.
Watch this space as we gear up for new spaces no. 3 and 4 expected to arrive in 2020, including an awesome location in the heart of Hong Kong Island
